Blog managed by Domaine Jaclin, winegrower and winemaker in the Loire Valley

The curlew is me, this beautiful bird that you see below. I particularly appreciate the Jaclin estate because every year in spring, it is here that I choose to make my nest. On this blog I will share with you what I know about the Jaclin estate, everything they do for me, but also for you! In addition to protecting me, they produce very good wine for you ;) Their job is not always well known by everyone so let me help you. At the risk of surprising you I can even advise you on the best way to enjoy their wines. From the vine to the wine glass I will be there, indeed I am the star on their bottles.

This is me in a meadow.

Who am I?

I am a migratory bird, I am medium sized and have a long downward curved bill. My name comes from my habitual "cooouu hi" sound. I like to live in open areas like the vineyards of Domaine Jaclin for example. This is where I choose to nest each spring. This choice is not made at random and if I felt in danger I would leave this place and never come back.

Who is Domaine Jaclin?

Fortunately for me, the Jaclin estate is very attached to my presence and Franck Jaclin wants me to feel safe in his vineyard. They have 17 hectares located south of Selles sur Cher, where I can come back every year to expand my family.
